Fox’s Turn to Raise the River
After running into trouble with Sam Soverel’s river raises over the last two days, Elio Fox just put one of his own in against Koray Aldemir.
There was 20,000 in the middle when Fox checked the [Kd3d2d5h5s] board and Aldemir bet 18,000. Fox check-raised to 52,000 and Aldemir burned a time extension before he called.
Fox tabled [7c5c] for runner-runner trips, which were good to knock Aldemir under starting.

Sam Grafton Raises Turn on Sam Soverel
Action folded to Sam Grafton on the button, and he raised to 7,000. Sam Soverel defended his big blind, and both players checked the [9h9s7h] flop.
The turn landed the [9d] and Soverel led out for 8,000. Grafton raised to 30,000, and after using his full extension of free time, Soverel mucked.

One small pot and a big one from across the room.
First, Kahle Burns saw a flop from the big blind after Sam Greenwood raised to 5,500 from the button. Both players checked the [QdJd5s] flop and Burns led for 4,500 after the [8d] fell on the turn.
Greenwood called and then faced a 16,000 chip bet after the [7s] completed the board.
He folded and a few moments later, Ali Imsirovic doubled through David Peters on Table 1.
Imsirovic held [Qd9c] against Peters’ [9h7h] and both players had flopped straights on [JhTc8c].
Peters picked up some outs after the [Th] came on the turn, but he missed his flush draw after the [3s] fell on the river.
The reigning U.S. Poker Open champion shipped just over 90,000 to the reigning Poker Masters champion and both players are still looking for their first British Poker Open cash.

It’s early, but there is a new chip leader in Event #5 and it is partypoker pro Mikita Badziakouski.
The Belarusian just busted Ben Heath in a pre-flop collision to jump Stephen Chidwick on the leaderboard.
Action was picked up with Kahle Burns opening to 5,500 from the button. Badziakouski three-bet to 20,000 from the small and Heath shoved for just under 175,000 from the big.
Burns quickly released and Badziakouski got a count before using an extension. He eventually called and was glad he did, holding [AdQh] to Heath’s [AhJh].
The better broadway hand held and Badziakouski took the pot.
As he was stacking his chips, Michael Addamo, Steve O’Dwyer, and Michael Zhang hit the rail.
