Daniels Headed to the Rail Again
The flop was [qc8d3c] and Marty Mathis checked from the small blind to Jacob Daniels. Daniels fired a bet of 42,000 and Mathis raised to 175,000. Daniels called and both saw the [7h] turn card appear.
This time Mathis bet 650,000 and he was called again by Daniels. The two players have some history after playing in the Super High Roller together for most of the final day yesterday.
The [9c] river completed the board and Mathis collected his stack and pushed it forward. He covered Daniels and he had to make a decision for his tournament life.
Daniels eventually called and Mathis showed [3s3h] for a set and Daniels threw his cards towards the muck. He was eliminated but still has the option to reenter.

Anthony Zinno Eliminated
We saw Anthony Zinno get up from his seat and make his way to the exit. Former table mate Jake Daniels told us that Zinno had run top-pair and top kicker with [AxKx] into his opponent’s flopped set of fives. Zinno can still reenter if he so pleases, with registration open two levels into Day 2.

Viana Lets it Go
Fernando Viana was put to the test when he defended from the big blind. There was a raise to 25,000 from the cutoff and the button called. Viana defended to see the [kc8d7h] flop.
It checked to the button who took over the betting initiative with a bet of 100,000 and Viana called. The cutoff folded.
The turn was the [6c] and Viana check-called a bet of 200,000 and he left himself with only 392,000 behind.
The river was the [td] and he checked again, only to see the player on the button bet 250,000. Viana folded.

Papo MC Wins a Small One
Alejandro ”Papo MC” Lococo sat in the big blind with [td7h] when he saw the cutoff raise to 26,000 with [7s7c]. Lococo called from the blinds and the [kdtc9s] flop was dealt. Lococo check-called a bet to see the [th] on the turn.
Both checked this time and the [ad] river was dealt. Lococo led out with a bet of 175,000 but that was too much for his opponent with pocket sevens.

Iralasky Puts It in the Middle
Sergio Iralasky played the Super High Roller earlier this week and he is now registered in the Main Event. He just limped from middle position and the player in the hijack raised to 33,000 and Fernando Araujo called from the small blind.
Iralasky thought it wasn’t enough and he pushed all in for about 900,000. Both of his opponents including Araujo quickly folded Iralasky won the pot.

Kempe: “It’s Like You Can Smell It When I’m Doing Something Silly”
When we arrived, the action was already on the turn but Kempe – somewhat ashamed it seemed – smilingly told us the earlier action after the hand had finished.
The button opened for 25,000 and big blind Rainer Kempe three-bet to 110,000. The button called.
Kempe then fired 80,000 on [5h9h8h] and another 125,000 on the [3h] turn. His opponent called both times and checked behind once Kempe tapped the table on the [7d] river. Kempe showed [2h4c] and the button mucked.
“It’s like you can smell it when I’m doing something silly,” Kempe told us with a smile.
The next hand, the button opened and Kempe called from the small blind. The big blind came along as well and all three checked on [4s5c6s]. The [Td] on the turn saw Kempe check again and the big blind bet 32,000. The button called and Kempe check-raised to 128,000. The big blind folded, the button called. The river paired the board with the [Tc] and Kempe bet around 600,000. The button folded right away.
Was Kempe up to something silly again? We’ll probably never know.

Mathis his cards were already in the muck when Romanello’s chips had barely hit the felt.
