Down to just 600,000 in chips with the blinds at 80,000 and 160,000, partypoker PRO Anatoly Filatov shoved under the gun. The action folded to big stack Joao Vieira on the button and he isolated by raising to 1,040,000. The blinds got out of the way.

Joao Vieira: [Ad7s]
The board ran out [6dTh3c] [Jh] [5d] and that was it. While Filatov was asking for some more cards so he could complete his straight flush draw, he wasn’t getting any. He did get $35,000, though.

John Duthie Eliminated in 10th Place ($30,000)
Right after losing a sizable pot to Joao Vieira, John Duthie found himself in a blind battle with the Portuguese high roller again.
Joao Vieira limped in from the small blind and Duthie checked. The flop of [4h6c2c] had Vieira check. Duthie bet 250,000 and Vieira check-raised to 930,000. Duthie three-bet to 2.7 million and Vieira called.
The [Tc] on the turn saw Vieira check. Duthie shoved all in for 7.4 million and Vieira went into the tank. With a few seconds to spare, Vieira called.
John Duthie: [Qc7d]
Joao Vieira: [KhKs]
The [Js] on the river was a blank and Duthie said his goodbyes.

“Slowroll!”
Anatoly Filatov limped under the gun and Joao Simao completed from the small blind. Kahle Burns checked his big blind.
The flop of [KcQcQd] saw the blinds check and Filatov bet 175,000. Simao called, Burns folded.
The [Ac] on the turn had Simao check-called another 400,000 before he faced an 800,000 bet on the [10h] river after checking. Simao tanked, used a time extension card, before eventually calling. Filatov tabled [JsQh] for the flopped trips turned into a straight, only to have to leave the pot to Simao who showed [Jc7c] for the flush.
“Slowroll!” Filatov said, still with a smile on his face.
“It’s not a slowroll,” Simao quipped, before explaining some of his thought process.
Althani Doubles
Joao Vieira opened for 350,000 and instantly called Fahad Althani’s 640,000 shove.
Joao Vieira: [TdTs]
Fahad Althani: [KdJs]
Althani was already getting up from his seat but sat down as soon as the [KsJc9c] flop was spread. The [Ah] on the turn and [6s] on the river weren’t cards Vieira was looking for and Althani doubled up.
Down to Ten
With Kristen Bicknell and Sirzat Hissou busting around the same table on the two different tables, the High Roller Finale is down to ten players. One more player will take home $30,000 before $35,000 is the minimum for players to earn.

Nagygyorgy and Fitoussi Bust within Moments of Each Other: Bubble Over

Two eliminations have occurred in the same deal. One off the bubble, it was short stacked Tibor Nagygyorgy who got his last 2,000,000 all in on a flop of [Jsqsts] heads up vs. Joao Simao. Nagygyorgy had flopped two pair with [qdtc] but Simao showed down a flopped flush (and the ace-high one at that): [as5s]. He got a “nice hand” as Nagygyorgy left the table.
Over on the other table, it was Bruno Fitoussi standing up as Luke Reeves stacked his chips, [qctx] vs. pocket tens.
Everyone is now guaranteed at least $25,000.

Active in the first level of the final day has been Alex Foxen, now over 13 million in chips. He was unfazed by raising Kristen Bicknell’s big blind from the small blind (to 360,000) only to find her jamming 3,000,000; he passed and moved on to raising the next hand.
Big blind Joao Simao saw a [7hjd8c] flop, Simao leading out for 280,000. Foxen called to see the [4d] turn. Simao led for 1,600,000 now, again called by Foxen. The river paired the board with the [7s]. Simao now checked, and after nearly a minute of thinking, Foxen bet just under 2,000,000 and was rewarded with a quick fold.
“Good river for me,” said Foxen. “But there were a lot of good rivers for me…”
“To bluff or to improve?” queried Bicknell.
“Improve!”
