Suarez Bets Big With Missed Flush Draw
Context matters… But we have none for the following hand and we didn’t want to bother the players to ask for details.
All we got is the river action where we saw Anton Suarez bet 5.4 million in position on [Ks3dAsQh2h]. Alex Lindop, seated in the big blind, used a time extension chip before he called.
Suarez was quick to show [6s9s] for the missed flush draw. Lindop took it down with [Ah3c].

Leonard Takes from Andersson, Karmatckii from Lampropoulos
Deep-stacked neighbours Patrick Leonard and Fredrik Andersson had a blind vs. blind tussle to leave them again almost even in chips near the top of the counts. On a heads up flop of [2h5s9h], Andersson check-called Leonard’s bet of 450,000, bringing the [7s] turn. Andersson checked again, but folded when Leonard bet 700,000.
At the same time, Maria Lampropoulos’ under the gun open was called by big blind Arsenii Karmatckii. On the [6c2h3h] flop, Karmatckii checked and Lampropoulos continued with a bet of 600,000. Back to Karmatckii who raised to 1,700,000, which Lampropoulos declined to call.

Jack Sinclair Busts
![Jack Sinclair (photo: Mickey May/partypoker)](https://storage.googleapis.com/pokercentral/2020/01/776ddc44-49366773238_c209e49a27_c.jpg)
We only got there for the showdown, but Georgy Philippovich was kind enough to share the details of the hand with us.
After a raise to 550,000 and a call from Philippovich, Jack Sinclair squeezed to 2.6 million. The initial raiser gave up but Philippovich called in position.
Sinclair would bet 1.8 million on the [JsAs4c] flop, 2.2 million on the [9c] turn, and shove on the [8d] river. While we don’t know how much the shove was for, we do know that Philippovich called with [JcJh] while Sinclair had [KcQc] for the missed draw.
It’s all over for Sinclair in 44th place, goof for $30,000. He can still parlay $10,300 of that into a ticket in the High Roller Finale if he so pleases.

Another exit, another payout at the $30,000 level. Maria Lampropoulos opened her button to 600,000, and big blind Sergi Reixach moved in for just under 5 million chips. Back to Lampropoulos, who considered her opponent’s stack then called with a slight head shake with [Adqs]. She held two overcards to Reixach’s [tstd] and spiked an ace straight away (the full board: [ah9skdjd6h].

Faraz Jaka Eliminated
Minutes before the first break of the day, Faraz Jaka hit the rail. Having played his way to Day 3 online, Jaka didn’t start out with too many chips and the first two levels weren’t kind to him either. Down to a relatively short stack, he shoved [3x3x] only to run into a player with [AxKx] with the latter hitting.
