Mooney Bets the River
From the hijack, John Mooney raised to 25,000. His neighbor, Andreas Klatt, three-bet to 75,000 from the cutoff and the button and both blinds folded. Mooney called out of position.
Mooney check-called a bet of 50,000 on [8s2hTh]. The [2s] on the turn was checked through and the [2c] completed the board. With three deuces on the table, Mooney bet 150,000. Klatt folded.
“Jacks?” Mooney asked Klatt.
Klatt just scoffed and counted his chips.

Alexandros Kolonias opened the cutoff with a min-raise to 20,000. Big blind Santiago Plante called.
The flop of [Ah2s8s] was checked by Plante and Kolonias bet 20,000. Plante called and he check-called another 80,000 on the [Jd] turn.
The [Qh] on the river saw both players check and Plante said he had a queen before showing [KcQc]. Kolonias quietly mucked.

“How Can You Actually Have a Hand? That’s Not Allowed!”
![Steven van Zadelhoff](https://storage.googleapis.com/pokercentral/2020/01/48e8c179-080120_millionsuk_main_day1a_231119_mm_135618_49350403678_o.jpg)
Vladas Tamasauskas was first to act and opened for 18,000 under the gun. His neighbor, Steven van Zadelhoff under the gun plus one, called. The cutoff and small blind followed suit and called as well before big blind Mauricio Ferreira Pais squeezed to 120,000.
Initial raiser Tamasauskas had seen enough and folded, but Van Zadelhoff had other plans. He four-bet to 315,000, and the cutoff and small blind got out of the way. Pais called.
Pais was first to act and checked on [Ks4c4d]. Van Zadelhoff bet 155,000, and Pais called. The [3h] on the turn saw Pais check once more, and Van Zadelhoff checked behind.
The [5h] completed the board, and Pais bet 350,000. Van Zadelhoff folded almost immediately.
“Good flop,” Van Zadelhoff said with a smirk on his face.
Pais showed the [Ad] and collected the sizable pot.
“How can you actually have a hand?” Van Zadelhoff said with a big smile, “That’s not allowed!”

Max Silver Eliminated
Max Silver’s chair was empty, with no trace of the bracelet winner. Govert Metaal, seated at the same table Silver played, offered some insights with the help of his neighbor (and culprit) Oliver Price.
Metaal opened under the gun for 20,000 and Max Silver three-bet to 70,000. Price cold four-bet from the big blind to 215,000 and Metaal got out of the way. Silver called in position.
On a flop of [Kx9x2x] with a flush draw, Price bet 175,000. Silver called.
The [2h] on the turn made for an additional possible flush draw and Price shoved. Silver called with [AxKx] and was ahead of Price’s [AhQh]. The river brought a heart, filling up Price’s flush and eliminating Silver.

Adeniya Wins With Second Pair, Still Short
On a flop of [3cTh8c], big blind Martins Adeniya checked. His opponent on the button checked behind. The [Qs] hit the turn and Adeniya checked again. The button bet 20,000 and Adeniya called. Adeniya checked again on the [6h] river and called once his opponent bet 50,000. The button showed [AsKc] and Adeniya took it down showing [Td5d].
Even though Adeniya won the pot, he’s still down a fair bit for the day having to work with just over 300,000 in chips with blinds at 4,000 and 8,000.

Two Streets for Wheeler
Jason Wheeler opened the action under the gun plus one for 18,000. The player on the button called, both blinds got out of the way.
Wheeler bet 25,000 on the [9cJs2d] flop and 60,000 on the [5s] turn. His opponent called both streets before they both checked the [7d] on the river. Wheeler showed [KdJc] and his opponent mucked.
