Andersson a Kings Magnet

Fredrik Andersson has picked up pocket kings twice in the last 15 minutes (not that the streamed players know this yet), and three-bet preflop thrice. This considered, there were some big laydowns just now when he three-bet with [kckh] to 10,500,000 after an under the gun raise to 2,500,000 with [8d8h] and a call from Anton Suarez with [9h9s]. After serious consideration, both pairs were tossed in the muck, prompting comms to give the players the props they deserve: “I never thought folding could be so exciting!”
Suarez Bests Geilich Blind vs. Blind
First and second pair on a [th4ckd] flop respectively for Anton Suarez and Ludovic Geilich just now. Small blind Suarez bet his [ks2s] for 1,200,000; call by Geilich with [td9h]. On the [5d] turn, Suarez bet 4,200,000 and was called once more. Both players checked the [7s] river and Suarez took the pot.

John Mooney Eliminated in 12th Place ($50,000)

John Mooney, down to 13.5 million having folded some hands, shoved from the hijack. His neighbor Jack Hardcastle used a time extension card before deciding to overshove. All other players got out of the way quickly.

The board ran out a clean [6d4hQd] [7c] [6c] and that was it for Mooney who exited in 12th place for $50,000. The remaining 11 players are guaranteed $60,000 from here on out.

Rudolph Busy Early
A few raise-and-take it pots for German pro Christian Rudolph have boosted his stack early doors. It hasn’t all been plain sailing, however: he opened in the cutoff with [kd9d] to 2,500,000 and found resistance lurking in the big blind in the form of Ludovic Geilich. Geilich had [tcjc] and 18,000,000 chips; he moved in and took the pot.

Another Push for James
Jack Hardcastle opened the button for 2.7 million and small blind James Clarke pushed once more, this time for 17.2 million. James Romero folded his big blind and Hardcastle asked for a count. Once he knew how much it was, he folded. Clarke showed the [As].
“Yeah, I had one of those…” Hardcastle said.
Push on the First Hand
On the first hand when play resumed, James Clarke shoved. Everyone quickly folded and Clarke showed the [Ac] while raking in the chips.
Final Dozen in $10,300 MILLIONS Main Event Ready to Play for Title and $1,000,000
![Maria Lampropoulos (photo: Mickey May/partypoker)](https://storage.googleapis.com/pokercentral/2020/01/3c6d1a9b-49367458577_6d42c1d1cc_c.jpg)
The $10,300 MILLIONS UK Main Event will crown its champion today at Dusk Till Dawn, awarding one of 12 Day 3 survivors the trophy and $1,000,000 top prize. Yesterday saw 76 in-the-money players fight over nine hour-long levels to secure a place in the final day, all paid a minimum of $20,000. The prize guaranteed today’s combatants is $50,000, with six-figure payouts awaiting the top eight finishers.
In the lead after 518 entrants have bitten the dust is James Romero, whose 77.9 million chips put him narrowly ahead of Jamie O’Connor (73.5 million) and Weijie Zheng (71.7 million). Romero has already racked up over $4 million in live tournament winnings, including nearly $2 million which he claimed in 2016 along with a WPT title.
Fourth in chips is the winner of the inaugural MILLIONS UK Main Event, Maria Lampropoulos. She picked up two seven-figure cashes in two years starting right here in 2017; to make history as the first partypoker MILLIONS double champion is now her goal.
With these two exceptions, winning the Main Event would mean the first live million dollar poker payday for these players, although there is no shortage of experience at the final two tables. Ludovic Geilich is a partypoker Ambassador and has consistently made finals (and hoisted trophies) around the globe since 2013.
Anton Suarez, one of two Swedes in the final dozen, has taken turns in the chip lead for nearly two days with current Irish Open champion Zheng. He returns to the fray with 41 million chips, slightly ahead of his countryman Fredrick Andersson. The UK’s James Clarke and John Mooney may start with under 20 big blinds, but there is still plenty of play left in the structure for them to get back in the mix.
Play restarts at noon, with the live stream – and spoiler-free live coverage in time with it – beginning at 1pm.

Romero Leads Final Dozen in partypoker MILLIONS UK; Lampropoulos Gunning for Second Title
![Anton Suarez (photo: Mickey May/partypoker)](https://storage.googleapis.com/pokercentral/2020/01/62131d88-110120_millionsuk_main_day3_231119_mm_139944.jpg)
Day 3 of the $10,300 partypoker MILLIONS UK Main Event saw 76 in-the-money players from both the live and online arenas convene at Dusk Till Dawn. They had the goal to play towards a final table and a shot at the 2020 title and $1,000,000 first prize that comes with it.
Guaranteed at least $20,000 when they sat down at noon, the twelve players who have made the final day have locked up at least $50,000 for their efforts. Three players are bunched at the top of the counts: overall leader James Romero (77.9 million), Jamie O’Connor (73.5 million) and Weijie Zheng (71.7 million). Romero and Zheng shared a late-night stint on the feature table where action flowed thick and fast; the latter (last year’s Irish Open champion) had maintained the chip lead through most of the day and barely relinquished it at the eleventh hour.
Lying fourth in chips is the winner of the inaugural MILLIONS UK Main Event, Maria Lampropoulos. The £1,000,000 first-place prize ($1,255,004) she picked up here in 2017 is the biggest of her career, though she came close in 2018 when she won another $1,081,100 in January in the Bahamas. Lampropoulos collected multiple scalps over the course of the day, busting (among others) Anthony Romanello (one of three brothers including partypoker PRO Roberto who all, incredibly, made the money in the Main Event) as well as Georgy Philippovich and Martin Mulsow in the same hand.
Finishing tantalizingly close to the final table were the likes of MILLIONS Online champion Benjamin Chalot (22nd for $40,000), Patrick Leonard (17th), Carlos Chadha (15th), Peter Chien (14th) and last to be eliminated Robert Heidorn.
Returning tomorrow more modestly stacked are the likes of the early challenger for the chip lead Anton Suarez, whose 41 million chips still represent 34 big blinds. Jack Hardcastle, Alex Lindop, Christian Rudolph and Fredrik Andersson round out this middle bunch, with the bottom of the counts represented by the – still dangerous – partypoker PRO Ludovic Geilich, John Mooney and James Clarke.
Play restarts at noon, with the live stream – and live coverage in time with it – beginning at 1 pm, as the final challengers for the MILLIONS UK title get back to the felt.
