Vogelsang Near-Felted Last Hand Pre-Break
A crucial double for Leon Tsoukernik, now that registration has closed and bust means bust. He saw a flop of [3s5d9c], leading out for 275,000 into Christoph Vogelsang (effective stack 790,000 total). Vogelsang put him all in, and Tsoukernik made the call, having flopped top pair with [Qc9s]. Vogelsang’s [AdJc] remained unpaired while Tsoukernik picked up the [Qs] on the turn and an irrelevant [4s] on the river.

Reeves Regains Chip Lead
Luke Reeves, starting the day with over five million chips, had dropped to 2,190,000 before finding a timely double to boost himself back near the top of the counts. He opened in early middle position to 110,000, called by neighour Leon Tsoukernik, before button Mikita Badziakouski three-bet to 360,000. Back to Reeves, who, after a moderate pause, moved all in. Tsoukernik suddenly lost interest in the hand, but Badziakouski made the call:
Badziakouski: [TsTh]
Reeves: [AcAd]
The board saw no upset, running out [qh9c7d2h6h].

Trigg Building Fast
Day 2 regger Rick Trigg has topped the three million chip mark already, his most recent big pot played (and won) vs. Joao Vieira. Heads up to a flop of [Kcah7d], with 650,000 in the pot already (hinting strongly at a Vieira open and Trigg threebet preflop), Vieira checked. Trigg fired 150,000 and was called. Likewise on the [3c] turn, Vieira check-called 300,000, leaving himself 585,000 behind. The river brought the [8d] and another check from Vieira. Trigg set him all-in, and was rewarded with a quick fold and the pot.

Bicknell Bust by Bitoun; Bounces Back
The damage to Kristen Bicknell’s heretofore healthy stack had been done before her final hand. Judging by the recent stack changes it was her neighbour Yair Bitoun who’d benefited, and he polished off the very last of her chips, which were all in preflop with [ad8h]. It was his [9hTd] that connected with the [5d9s2sth7c] board, sending her to re-enter in the very last minute during which that’s allowed.

Welcome To the Game, Steve O’Dwyer
It’s not been Alex Foxen’s (pictured) morning. With the addition of starting-stack-wielding Steve O’Dwyer to his table (in position as Kurganov was), there followed a gigantic pot, reversing Foxen’s Day 1 trend of accumulation and leaving him skirting the felt.
Foxen opened preflop under the gun for 80,000, button O’Dwyer raised to 200,000. Small blind Yair Bitoun called, as did Foxen, to see a [8h2d8c] flop. Check to O’Dwyer, who bet 170,000, called by Foxen alone.
The turn: [3c]. Check to O’Dwyer again, who bet 700,000 (around the size of the pot), leaving himself just 20,000 behind. A good think, and Foxen committed most of his stack, too, leaving a final, smaller, check-call for the [7d] river. Showdown – and one of the biggest so far today:
Foxen: [Actc]
O’Dwyer: [ThTd].
Foxen remained impassive; the high roller mindset being to label lows and highs stackwise as the imposters that they are.
*Edit: Foxen was eliminated shortly after and re-entered.
