Eelis Parssinen Scores Massive Poker Masters Online PLO Series Win
The Poker Masters Online PLO Series on partypoker saw Eelis Parssinen from Finland mount an impressive comeback going from short stack to champion at the $25,000 Event #5 final table. With his win, Parssinen jumped into second place on the standings while runner-up Gavin Cochrane took the lead in the race for the Purple Jacket and $50,000 Main Event seat.

Eelis Parssinen Scores Massive Poker Masters Online PLO Series Win
The final table action was hotly contested last night as it took almost two hours before the first player was eliminated. Jake Schindler busted in fifth place when he ended up all in with kings versus Eelis Parssinen’s aces to bring the field down to just four.
Parssinen held the chip lead at this point but was followed closely by Andrew Pantling who knocked out Aku Joentausta in a big pot just 10 minutes later. Joentausta got his money in with aces but his Canadian opponent made two pair to send him packing in fourth place.
After busting Joentausta, things started slipping for Pantling who became the short stack three-handed before attempting to double up with aces against Parssinen. The Finn called Pantlang’s shove withe ace-nine-four-three double suited and he managed to make his flush on the turn.
The heads-up battle was once again a slugfest as Cochrane and Parssiinen went back and forth for nearly 90 minutes. On the final hand, with Parssinen holding 90% of all the chips, Cochrane was all in with ace-king-seven-five versus Parssinen’s queen-six-four-four and the pair of fours held up.

A Finnish Affair at Today’s Final Table
The action on PokerGO’s Facebook page and Poker Centra’s YouTube channel continues today with Jens Kyllonen leading the $10,000 buy-in Event #7 action with $200,000 up top. Of the remaining five players, three are from Finland as Eelis Parssinen and Aku Joentausta have made the final table in back to back events. Hungarian Laszlo Bujtas and UK’s Roberto Romanello are also in the hunt as the action resumes at 3:00pm ET.
Andrew Pantling Paces Super High Roller Final Table
Andrew Pantling was one of the early chip leaders and it was more or less a wire-to-wire run to the Super High Roller final table. The Canadian was at or near the top of the leaderboard for nearly all of Event #5 and Pantling will now pace the final five into tomorrow’s restart.
Gavin Cochrane is back at a Poker Masters Online final table and over the 1,000,000 chip mark – but well off Pantling’s 3,000,000 chip total. Short stack Eelis Parssinen is also recording his second PMO: Pot Limit Omaha cash.

Amichai Barer Bubbles Event #5
Short stack Amichai Barer moved all-in from the small blind and Andrew Pantling called in the big.
Pantling flopped two pair and had Barer drawing thin, before he was dead after the turn. The final six have moved to the final table and the Super High Roller is officially in the money.

Two Short Stack Doubles
New Zealand’s James Greenwood doubled through Aku Joentausta and then Amichai Barer doubled through Gavin Cochrane on the other table.
Shortly after those doubles, Jake Schindler moved all-in on Table 1. He was not called. All three players are still short and Event #5 is still on the bubble.

Another Cochrane Through Pantling Double
Table 2 has been turned on it’s head over the first half of Level 14.
At the start of the period, Andrew Pantling had over 3,000,000 chips, while Gavin Cochrane and Amichai Barer were near 15 big blinds. Fast forward 15 minutes and Pantling has been cut in half – after Gavin Cochrane doubled through him again.
Pantling bet the pot on the flop and turn, before Cochrane moved all-in. Pantling called and he was up against another set.

Gavin Cochrane Doubles Twice on Bubble
Short stack Gavin Cochrane just found two doubles against chip leader Andrew Pantling to stay alive on the Super High Roller bubble.
First, Cochrane held pocket kings in a blind vs. blind situation. The chips got in pre and Cochrane held to score his first double.
A few hands later, he picked up aces and another double through Pantling.
Cochrane is now near the 1,000,000 chip mark and a second Poker Masters Online: PLO final table.

Action on Table 2
Amichai Barer has had an up and down Level 13, first winning a big pot against Imad Derwiche and then doubling Gavin Cochrane.
Action was picked up with Barer betting the pot on the turn against Derwiche.
Derwiche called and then both players checked the turn – with Barer taking the 761,000 chip pot with a set.
A few hands later, short stack Gavin Cochrane took a bite out of Barer to get back into Super High Roller contention.
