If the start of the partypoker LIVE Caribbean Poker Party is any indication, the weeklong festival at the Baha Mar Casino could be one of the biggest the poker world has seen this year – in part due to Super High Roller Bowl Bahamas.
The $250,000 buy-in event attracted 51 entries – making it the third biggest Super High Roller Bowl ever – and now an over $12,000,000 prize pool is up for grabs with three of the most successful Super High Roller Bowl players in history at the final table.
Erik Seidel final tabled the first Super High Roller Bowl in 2015, before he recorded a podium finish in 2016. Jason Koon finished 9th in Super High Roller Bowl China and then 3rd in the 2018 edition – while Justin Bonomo ended up in the winner’s circle in both of those events.
While Seidel, Koon, and Bonomo will look for more success at each player’s third Super High Roller Bowl final tables, chip leader Seth Davies is in unchartered territory.
Davies will record his first Super High Roller Bowl cash tomorrow, but while that may feel like a long time coming – especially after bubbling this tournament in 2018 – the Oregon native has been an elite high stakes tournament player for years.
Canada’s Daniel Dvoress and Ireland’s Steve O’Dwyer would also fit that elite player billing. Neither have played previous editions of Super High Roller Bowl – but with nearly $30,000,000 in combined tournament earnings they know their way around big buy-in events.
As do Wai Leong Chan and Kathy Lehne. While Chan has worked his way up to 4th on Malaysia’s all-time money list with two of his best years as a professional, Lehne has played big buy-in events for the better part of the last five. The Houston entrepreneur and CEO has come close to $100,000 High Roller wins in the past and tomorrow she’ll make history as the first woman to record a Super High Roller Bowl cash – after she was the first woman to ever play the event in 2016.
With storylines and history hanging in the balance – the Super High Roller Bowl Bahamas final table should not disappoint. The stacked lineup returns Monday at 1:00 PM EST to play to a winner, with live coverage beginning on PokerGO at 2:00 PM EST/7:00 PM GMT.
