Small pots have gone to each of the heads up trophy contenders, the net result: they’re still almost even in chips. No spots where tournament life has been on the line – except one: Timothy Adams limped his button (as has been the norm recently) with [2h2c]. Vogelsang, with [3h3s] pushed forward a stack of blue 100k chips, announcing “all in,” and Adams made what looked like a reluctant fold.
“I feel like yesterday was one of the most gruelling days of poker I’ve played,” reminisced Adams, remembering the twelve hour marathon it took to get to the bubble.

Vogelsang Steps Slightly Out of Line, Loses Chip Lead
Timothy Adams limped his button with [Ah7d], calling when Christoph Vogelsang upped it to 700,000 with [5c3h]. He flopped top pair: [AdKc6x] and called when Vogelsang continued for 550,000. That was the end of it for the German; the [Ks] flop checked through and Vogelsang folded to Adams’ 1,300,000 bet on the [9h] river.

Mikita Badziakouski Gets His Sweat but Still Eliminated in 3rd ($1,600,000)
Three-handed play is over almost before it got going. Down to just 10 big blinds, Mikita Badziakouski picked up [AcQh] in the big blind. Timothy Adams folded, and small blind (chip leader) Christoph Vogelsang paused, still and silent, for around 20 seconds, before setting his opponent all in with [Jh3s]. Badziakouski snap-called and stood up while the board decided his fate.
The flop: [Js9s3s]. Two pair for Vogelsang. Badziakouski called for a spade: “Just don’t let me be drawing dead… give me a sweat!”
The turn gave him the sweat: [8s]. The river [4c], however, ended the Belarusian top tournament player and partypoker Team Pro’s run at the trophy in 3rd.

Vogelsang in Driver’s Seat
Ben Heath jammed for 1,200,000 first to act, first hand of the new level with [9h9s], with no interest from his trio of competitors.
Next hand saw Christoph Vogelsang three-bet the button to 630,000 with [Kc6c] over a cutoff open from Timothy Adams; no call. Vogelsang, in a series of smaller pots at the end of the last level, has pulled ahead of the others, and is now using all the pressure the chip leader’s stack can exert to his advantage.
Adams Doubles Through Heath
Ben Heath, having regained the stack of 3,000,000+ he held around five hours ago, has dropped right back down to the short stack spot (1.6 million) after doubling up Timothy Adams. Button Heath opened for 190,000 with [Qdjd] and found small blind Adams moving in for 1,400,000 with [Khqh]. Not being able to see the hole cards, as we can on the livestream, Heath took a couple of timebanks and then made the call. The board ran out [ad9c2s4h5c] and we have another dramatic change in the leaderboard.
