Badziakouski Doubles Blind vs. Blind
Two big hands dealt in the blinds saw another double through on this final table, that of short stack Mikita Badziakouski. He raised with [TsTd], put to the test by Ben Heath with [AdQd] and was all in for 660,000 total. Heath flopped an ace – [Ac2c3c] – but Badziakouski spiked the [Th] on the turn (the river [6c]) for a much-needed double up.

Adams Wins Second – Bigger – All In Flip vs. Mateos
Timothy Adams has completed a jump to the chip lead of his own with a second double through Adrian Mateos. He three-bet Mateos preflop to 180,000 with [JsJd], then called all in for 1,600,000 when Mateos jammed on him with [AhKd], holding over a crucially low [5h8d5c6h8c] runout.

Mikita Badziakouski Not Just a Chair
Mikita Badziakouski, with two prior Super High Roller Bowl Cashes already to his name, has been very quiet (in the hands played department) though is happily chatting away in between hands. He said earlier that he had just come to fold and be a chair, but with no real playable hands and action kicking off on either side of him he has not had too many options.
Just now he did raise preflop (to 65,000) with [KsJs], picking up the blinds and saying, “I’ve been folding the last half hour, finally bluff with seven-deuce and everyone believes me!”
Adams Withstands Pressure from New Chip Leader
Newly minted chip leader Adrian Mateos wasted little time putting maximum pressure on big blind Timothy Adams when it folded to him in the small. He simply moved all in (715,000 effective) with [9s7c] and waited for Adams to sweat through to a decision with [5d5c]. He made the call, finding himself against two overcards (though maybe not the ones he’d have expected) and waited patiently for the deck to decide whether it was to be a double or a bust.
The board, though it brought a straight draw for Mateos on the turn, didn’t complete it ([Kh8c3s6d8h]) and Adams doubles through to 1.4 million, a much more comfortable stack.

Blind on Blind Fireworks Hand Mateos the Chip Lead
It folded to small blind Adrian Mateos (fresh from losing a 400,000 pot to today’s crusher so far, Christoph Vogelsang), who limped in with [QhQd]. Big blind Timothy Adams raised to 120,000 with [kdtd] and Mateos sprung the raise, making it 410,000. Adams made the call to see a flop featuring two diamonds: [3s5d8d]. Mateos led out for 275,000 into the already chunky pot (just under 900,000) and Adams set him in for 1,200,000 or so. Mateos called quickly and faded the flush draw and overcard on the [2s5c] turn and river: the young Spaniard is the new chip leader on this five-handed final table.

Ivan Leow Out in 6th Place ($600,000)

Christoph Vogelsang opened to 60,000 with [Qd7d], called by Ivan Leow on the button with [Ah7c]. The flop of [Qh3d7h] brought the former top two and the latter middle pair; with just 300,000 left, Leow jammed over Vogelsang’s flop lead of 55,000 and was called immediately. Drawing thin, Leow saw the [TsKc] run out on the turn and river to end his dreams of the Super High Roller Bowl Sochi title. The minimum cash for an event of this magnitude, $600,000, must be some consolation, however.

Stephen Chidwick Eliminated on the Bubble

Stephen Chidwick, having picked up one set of blinds with a preflop open to 115,000 (from a total stack of 165,000) with [AdTs] (uncalled), faced a preflop raise to 70,000 from Christoph Vogelsang while on the big blind with [Jh9s] in what was to turn out to be his final hand.
Chidwick thought for a short while, then called, seeing a flop of [Qh8d4c]. Chidwick now led out for the rest of his stack – 140,000. Vogelsang, holding [Ah3h], had his own think, then said, “Okay,” and threw in a call-signifying chip.
It stayed OK for Vogelsang, as the turn and river came [6sAc], and he eliminated the feared British pro, the last to leave the Super High Roller Bowl Main Event without a share of the $10,000,000 total prize money.

Adams Set Up vs. Vogelsang
On a three-way flop of [Qs8dJs], action checked to button (and preflop opener) Timothy Adams, who’d flopped middle set with [Jdjc]. Small blind Christoph Vogelsang had flopped top pair with [KhQd] and made the call; big blind Ben Heath passed his [Ac6c].
Turn: [3d]. Vogelsang check-called a second bet of 190,000 from Adams.
River: [7h]. A final check from Vogelsang saw Adams bet 450,000 – this too was called by Vogelsang whose early stack boost has been more than negated by this hand.

First Flop of the Final Sends Chidwick Down to Six Big Blinds
Stephen Chidwick (button) and Christoph Vogelsang (small blind), saw a flop of [5s2dKh], both with aces in the hole, Chidwick with [Ah6c] and Vogelsang with [AdJh]. Vogelsang check-called a bet of 40,000 here, then 90,000 on the crucial [As] turn. On the [7h] river, Vogelsang check-called a third time for 200,000 (more than half Chidwick’s remaining stack), knocking the British superpro down to six big blinds.
