Jason Koon Eliminated by Talal Shakerchi
On the turn, with the board reading [jd][6d][3d][8s], Jason Koon checked from the big blind and Talal Shakerchi bet 31,000 from middle position.
Koon moved all in for about 110,000 and Shakerchi snap-called. Koon showed [jc][8c], giving him top two pair, but needed to fill up against Shakerchi’s [ad][9d].
“It doesn’t feel like the kind of day where I’m going to make a full house here,” said Koon after the cards were tabled.
Koon was right. The [7d] came on the river and he was eliminated, while Shakerchi moved over the million chip mark.

The turn was the [js] and Hellmuth checked again. Badziakouski bet 60,000 and Hellmuth folded. Hellmuth claimed he had ace-eight and asked Badziakouski to reveal his hand. Badziakouski wouldn’t budge.

“Who says it will be on the stream,” replied Badziakouski.
“He’s Phil Hellmuth,” said Negreanu with a laugh. “Of course it will be on the stream.

(from the PokerGO Live Stream)
Justin Bonomo opened from under the gun to 14,000 and Isaac Haxton called in the hijack. From the button, Alex Foxen three-bet to 57,000 to put the action back on Bonomo.
Bonomo responded by moving all in for 710,000, and Haxton folded. Foxen called.
Bonomo: [ah][4h]
Foxen: [kh][ks]
Bonomo was in dominated shape against Foxen’s cowboys, and when the dealer fanned the [tc][qd][5s] flop, Bonomo would need either an ace or runner-runner to stay alive.
The turn of the [8h] left Bonomo drawing to just an ace, and when the [6s] completed the board on the river, the defending Super High Roller Bowl Champion was eliminated in 14th place in Super High Roller Bowl V.

(from the PokerGO Live Stream)
Adrian Mateos raised to 14,000 in the cutoff and Seth Davies shoved all in from the small blind for 119,000. Mateos called.
Davies: [ac][8s]
Mateos: [ad][kc]
With Davies in bad shape, the [qs][jd][5s] flop changed little, but when the [ts] fell on the turn to complete Mateos’ flush, Davies would need a king for the chop or a spade for the win.
The river landed the [7h], and Davies was eliminated in 15th place from Super High Roller Bowl V.
Fedor Holz Eliminated by Daniel Negreanu
The flop was [qc][9h][2h] and Fedor Holz had 30,000 out in front of him. Holz was in the big blind and Daniel Negreanu raised to 100,000 from under the gun.
“I committed him,” said Negreanu. “He’s only got about 240,000, so I make it 100,000 and it’s the same thing as moving it all in. Because I can’t fold for 100,000.”
“Then why not move all in?” asked Dan Cates.
“I don’t know,” said Negreanu with a laugh.
Holz moved all in for 240,000 and Negreanu called. Negreanu showed [as][qh] and needed help against Holz’s [qc][2c]. The turn was the [7s] and the river was the [7h]. Negreanu counterfeited Holz’s two pair and won the pot to eliminate Holz.
Talal Shakerchi Puts Igor Kurganov in a Tough Spot
Igor Kurganov raised to 14,000 from under the gun and was called by Talal Shakerchi from the cutoff, Stephen Chidwick on the button and Mikita Badziakouski from the big blind.
The flop was [6s][5h][2d] and Badziakouski checked, as did Kurganov. Shakerchi bet 27,000, Chidwick called and Badziakouski folded. Kurganov raised to 111,000 and was called by both Shakerchi and Chidwick.
The turn was the [6c] and Kurganov used a time extension chip before betting 80,000. Shakerchi called and Chidwick folded. The river was the [tc] and Kurganov checked. Shakerchi bet 155,000 and Kurganov went into the tank. He ended up using two time extension chips before starting to question Shakerchi.
“What are you putting me on, Talal?” asked Kurganov. “I think you’re undestimating…”
Shakerchi doesn’t respond and Kurganov speaks up again.
“Why not more than that?” asks Kurganov about Shakerchi’s river sizing. “That’s what I’m wondering. Do you have a better six than me?”
Eventually, Kurganov folds, Shakerchi mucked his hand and took the pot.
“Fives full,” chimed in Phil Hellmuth from the other side of the table.
