Event #2 Prize Pool Announced; $179,200 for the Winner

With the registration period now closed in Event #2, a total of 64 entrants have created a prize pool of $640,000.

The final ten players will be in-the-money with a guaranteed $19,200 payday, while reaching Day 2 and the final six will earn players $38,400. However it will be the $179,200 first-place prize that everyone will be eyeing.

Parker Mitchell raised to 14,000 on the button and Stephen Chidwick called in the big blind.

The flop landed [QcKd4d] and Chidwick check-called a bet of 14,000.

The turn fell the [6s], and after Chidwick checked, Mitchell bet 24,000.

Chidwick check-raised to 134,000, and after using one of his time extension banks, Mitchell folded.

Brent Roberts Eliminates Another Player

Action folded to Brent Roberts on the button who opened to 10,000. Sam Soverel was next to act and three-bet to 31,000. Keith Kehr folded his big blind and the action was back to Roberts who four-bet pot.

After a brief discussion with the dealer about the amount of the raise Soverel committed his last 100,000 chips into the middle.

The flop came [Kd2s7c] to give Roberts a set of kings and Soverel needing runner runner to stay alive.

The turn was the [Td] giving Soverel life but the river fell the [2h] and Roberts set of kings held to eliminate Soverel.

Jordan Spurlin Shove Gets Through Again

This hand picked up on the turn with [Qc9h6sAc] showing in a hand between Brandon Adams and Jordan Spurlin.

Adams just wagered 32,000 and Spurlin took all 30 seconds of his shot clock before requesting more time. He then went all in and Adams folded the hand.

From the big blind, Jordan Spurlin raised to 48,000, and both Adams and Lee called.

The flop landed [5s2c7h] and Spurlin continued for 60,000. Adams and Lee both folded, and Spurlin collected the pot.

Jordan Spurlin’s Check Shove Gets Through on the Flop

With the action on Jordan Spurlin in the big blind he three-bet to 20,000. Manig Loeser and John Riordan made the call.

The flop came [3hThQh] and Spurlin check. Loeser bet 18,000 and Riordan quickly got out of the way. Spurlin didn’t think long before announcing all in for his last 100,000.

Loeser’s cards hit the muck and Spurlin dragged in the pot.
