Justin Bonomo Wins With a Doozy
Brandon Adams made it 20,000 from the cutoff before seeing Justin Bonomo jam from the small blind.
Hearing Bonomo say “all in” was music to David Peters’ ears, who reshipped from the big blind. Adams bowed out and Peters and Bonomo revealed their hands:
Peters: [KsKc]
Bonomo: [Td9d]
A relatively harmless flop of [2dJs2h] hit and Peters was still way ahead. But things got interesting when [8h] arrived on the turn and Bonomo turned open-ended.
Seconds later, a river [Qc] took Bonomo from being eliminated in the tournament to stacking over 600,000 in chips. After the devastating loss, Peters fell to below 200,000.
