Ali Imsirovic Wins Venetian High Roller Event #1: $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em for $200,200

Ali Imsiroivc took down a field of 77 entrants in Venetian High Roller Event #1 $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em to claim the first-place prize of $200,200 after defeating Shawn Daniels in heads up action.
Joining Imsirovic and Daniels at the final table were Kyung Min Lee, Randy Kaas, Dan Shak, Shannon Shorr, and Sergi Reixach.
Imsirovic came into the final table 3rd in chips but quickly found his way to the top of the heap when his ace-jack sent the jack-eight of Kaas out the door in seventh place.
Reixach was the next to fall in sixth place when his ace-queen could not improve against the ace-king of Imsirovic.
Daniels was next to get in on the elimination action when his ace-king turned a wheel to send Shak home in fifth place while simultaneously scoring a massive double up through Shorr.
Imsirovic scored his third knockout of the final table when his pocket fives flopped a set against the ace-queen of Shorr, eliminating Shorr in fourth place.
Daniels would take the chip lead into the heads-up battle when his ace-three bested the ten-nine of Lee to send Lee home in third place.
Joining the final table in the money were Sam Soverel in 8th, John Morgan in 9th, Chris Brewer in 10th, and Dylan Linde 11th. Daniel Negreanu was the bubble boy when his jack-ten and could not improve against the ace-seven of Imsirovic.
Other notables to finish just outside the money included Sean Perry, Seth Davies, Bill Klein, and Jake Schindler.
