Chris Brewer and Jesse Lonis Eliminated by Justin Saliba
Justin Saliba opened to 2,500 from under the gun, and Chris Brewer three-bet to 8,500 next to act. Jesse Lonis was on the button and called. The blinds folded, and Saliba called.
The flop fell [5c3s2d], and action checked to Lonis, who bet 13,500. Saliba called, and Brewer used all of his shot clock before moving all in for 91,500 total. Lonis called, as did Saliba.
Brewer: [JcJh]
Lonis: [2c2h]
Saliba: [5h5d]
Brewer held an overpair of jacks, but both opponents had flopped a set with Saliba holding top set to put Brewer and Lonis at risk.
The turn [Td] gave no help to Brewer or Lonis, and when the river [5s] completed the board, Saliba made quad fives to eliminate both Lonis and Brewer on the first hand of play.
